SHI Soil Health Educator Emily Ball spoke about SHI and U.S. Regenerative Cotton Fund initiatives in Texas at the Wichita Falls Multi-Purpose Event Center (WFMPEC) during a workshop at the Wichita Falls Ranch and Farm Expo on March 9, 2023. The workshop included presentations from growers who shared their experiences, and the United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service showcased a rainfall simulator and explained what happens when five different land management practices receive rain. The growers were particularly engaged during the presentations and asked questions about the challenges they faced when adopting soil health practices. The workshop ended with a grower panel that was well received by the 60 attendees, 35 of whom were growers.
