2019 ASA-CSSA-SSSA International Annual Meeting
November 10 - November 13$85 – $780
The Annual Meeting is one of the few gatherings that bring together approximately 4,000 scientific leaders from industry, government agencies, and academic institutions in one unique environment.
It’s the premiere opportunity for professionals working in agronomic, crop, soil, and related sciences to hear about the latest research, meet and learn from their peers, expand their knowledge base, and take advantage of an abundance of networking opportunities to enhance their career.
This year’s Annual Meeting will feature more than 3,500 technical presentations, along with a host of networking events and award ceremonies. The world-class exhibition displays the latest scientific equipment, supplies, services, and reference materials available.
2019 Annual Meeting Theme: “Embracing the Digital Environment”
From cell phones to drones, the tools and toys that we may use in our everyday lives are also becoming enmeshed in our agricultural and environmental systems. The digital environment allows a new way to manage data, with real-time, in-season information that changes how we manage our crops, soils, and the environment. No longer do we have to wait until after harvest, or post-flood, or after the storm has passed to measure results or damage. The digital environment also allows for enhanced data dissemination, opening new avenues for enhanced (agro)ecosystems globally. Embracing the use of sensor technology, communications networks, satellite imagery, drones, machine learning, as well as gathering data more frequently and accurately, the digital environment can enable producers, CCAs, consultants, and researchers to reduce input costs, increase food production, and improve environmental quality.
